! And as Jesus
left from the temple, one of his disciples said to him: Teacher; behold; see
these stones, and these structures
. And Jesus said to him: Do you admire these great structures ? There
will not be left here even one stone standing upon another
: And as Jesus was sitting on the Mount of Olives, facing the
temple, Kephas and James and John and Andrew asked him, privately
? Tell us, when will this occur ? And what will be the sign that
all this is coming to an end
: And Jesus began to say to them Beware, let no one mislead you
. for many will come in my name, and will say: I am he. And they will
lead many astray
. But when you shall hear of wars, and the threats of war, be not
afraid; for this bound to happen; but the end is not yet
For nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom,
and there will be earthquakes in several places, and there will be famines and
riots. These are the but the onset of sorrows
And take heed to yourselves; for they will deliver you up to the
courts; and you will be beaten in the synagogues, and you will stand before
kings and governors, to testify to your faith to them
. Proclaim first my gospel among all the nations
And when they shall lead you to hand you over, be not
worried beforehand what you shall say, neither dwell on it; but, that which shall be
given you at that moment, speak; for it is not you that speaks, but the Holy
Spirit
. And brother will hand over his brother to death, and the father his
son; and children will rise up against their parents, and will kill them
. And you will be hated by every man, on account of my name. But
whoever shall endure to the end, shall live
And when you see the abominable sign of
destruction, standing where it ought not; as mentioned by Daniel the
prophet (let him that reads, understand;) then let those that are in Judaea,
escape to the mountain
: and let him that is on the roof not come down, and enter
his house, to take any thing from it
. and let him that is in the field not return, to take his
clothing
! But, woe to those with child, and to those who nurse child, in
those days
. And pray, that none of it be in winter
. For in those times will be tribulation, such as has not been from the
first of creation that God made, until now, and shall not be
. And, unless God should shorten those days, nobody would be
saved. But, on account of the those he has chosen, he has shortened those days
. Then, if anyone shall say to you: Look, here is Messiah, or look
there; do not believe it
. For false Messiahs will arise, and false prophets; and they will
give signs and miracles; and will deceive even the chosen if they can
. But take you heed. I have told you everything beforehand
; And in those times, after that tribulation, the sun will be darkened;
and the moon will not give light
. and the stars will fall from heaven; and the powers of heaven will
be shaken
. And they will then see the Son of Man coming in the clouds, with
great power and glory
And then will he send forth his angels, and will gather his
chosen from the four winds, from the ends of earth to the far reaches of heaven
. And, learn a lesson from the fig tree. When its twigs are
tender, and its leaves bud forth, you know that summer approaches
. So also, when you shall see these happenings, you will
know, that it is near, at the door
. Truly I say to you, That this generation shall not pass away, until
all these things unfold
. Heaven and earth will pass away, but my words will not pass away
. But of that day and that hour, knows no
man; nor the angels of heaven; neither the Son, but by the Father
. Take heed, watch, and pray; for you know not what the time is
to be
For it is as a man, who took a journey,
and left his home; and he gave authority to his servants, and to each his
service; and he ordered the gatekeeper to be watchful
Watch you, therefore; for you know not when the master of the house
comes; at evening, or at midnight, or when the cock crows, or in the morning
. let he not come suddenly, and find you
sleeping
. And what I say to you, I say to all of you: Be watchful
And after two days, was the Passover of
unleavened loaves. And the high priests and the scribes schemed how they might
take him, and kill him
. But they said: Not on the festival, or there maybe riot among
the people
And when he was at Bethany in the house
of Simon the leperous, as he sat, a woman came having an alabaster flask of
costly ointment of pistachio, and she opened and poured it upon
the head of Jesus
? And there were certain of the disciples, who were upset among
themselves, and said: Why for was this waste of the ointment
. For it might have been sold for more than three hundred denarii, and
then given to the poor. And they were indignant at her
. But Jesus said: Leave her alone; why do you trouble her ? She has done
a goodly act towards me
For the poor you will have with you
always; and when you want, you can make them kind offerings: but I am not always
to be with you
. What was in her power, she has done; and by anticipation
as if for burial, has perfumed my body
Truly I say to you, That wherever this gospel of mine shall be
proclaimed, in all the world, this also, which she has done, will be told in
memory of her
. And Judas Iscariot, one of the twelve,
went to the high priests, in order to betray Jesus to them
. And when they heard him, they were jubilant; and they
promised to give him money. And he awaited an opportunity to betray him
And on the first day of unleavened loaves, on which the
Jews slay the Passover, his disciples said to him: Where do you want that we go, and prepare for
you to eat the Passover
, And he sent two of his disciples, and said to them: Go to the
city, and look, for there will meet you a man carrying a water jar. Follow him
? and where he enters in, say you to the
master of the house: Our Master said, Where is the room for guests, in which I
may eat the Passover with my disciples
. And he will show you a large upper
room, furnished and all in order: there make it ready for us
. And his disciples went, and entered the city, and found
it as he had told them: and they made it ready for the Passover
. And when it was evening, he arrived with
his twelve
. And as they sat and ate, Jesus said: Truly I say to you, That
one of you that eats with me, will betray me
? And they began to be worried. And they said to him, one by one,
surely it is not I
. And he said to them: It is one of the twelve that dips with me in
the dish
And the Son of Man goes there as it is written of him: but woe to that
man, by whom the Son of Man is betrayed. Better would it have been for that man
if he had not ever been born
. And as they were eating, Jesus took bread, and blessed, and broke
it , and gave it to them, and said to them: Take; for this is my body
. And he took the cup, and gave thanks, and blessed it, and gave
it to them. And they all drank of it
. And he said to them: This is my blood of
the new covenant, which is shed on behalf of the many
. Truly I say to you, That I will not drink again of the
fruit of the vine, until the day on which I shall drink it anew in the Realm of God
. And they sang praise, and walk out to the mount of Olives
" And Jesus said to them: This night all of you will be
shaken in faith for me: for it is written, " I will strike the shepherd, and his sheep will be
dispersed.
. And when I am risen, I will go to
Galilee ahead of you
. And Kephas said to him: Though they all should be shaken
in faith, yet I will not be
. Jesus said to him: Truly I say to you, That this day, on this
night, before the cock shall crow twice, you will three times deny me
. And he said, adding more: If I have to die with you, I will not deny
you, my Lord. And all the disciples said the same
. And they came to the place called
Gethsemane; and he said to his disciples, Sit down here, while I pray
. And he took with him Kephas and James and John, and who began to be
fearful and distressed
. And he said to them: My soul has sorrow
enough for death. Wait for me here, and be watchful
. And he advanced a little, and fell upon the ground, and prayed if it were possible, that the hour might pass from him
. And he said: Father, my Father, you can do all things. Let this
cup pass from me. Yet not my will, but may yours be done
? And he came and found them sleeping. And he said to Kephas:
Asleep, Simon ? Could you not watch with me even one hour
. Watch and pray, not that you be put to test. The spirit is
willing and ready, but nature is weak
. And he went again and prayed, speaking the same
words
. And returning he came again and found them asleep, for their eyes
were heavy. And they knew not what to say to him
And he came the third time, and said to them: Sleep now, and take
rest. The end is near, the hour has come, the Son of Man is betrayed into
the hands of men
. Awake ! Let us go. Look, he that betrays me is at hand
And while he was yet speaking, Judas
Iscariot, one of the twelve, arrived at the head of many people with swords and
clubs, sent by the high priests and scribes and elders
And the traitor who betrayed him, had given them a sign, and said:
He whom I shall kiss is the man. Arrest him then, and lead him away
. And then he came up, and said to him: Master, Master; and
kissed him

As soon as it was morning, the high
